It’s Time to Learn How to Fix These Printers
So, while I’m trying to help my husband with his business by learning the programs and how to design files myself there is another important thing I need to learn. I need to learn how to do more Maintenace on the printers.
What I can Do
I can change the filaments out which is something pretty simple to do. Even if the color on the printer is not the one you want to use. When you turn on the printer you heat up the hot end/ nozzle press the release button and pull it out. Then you put the new color in and then good to go start your print.
I can level the printing beds on most of our printers that is pretty easy as well. The only one I cannot do is the print mill. That one is more difficult my husband says so I just mess it up and have him fix it for me. We don’t use it as often as the Enders and the Bambu so it’s ok.
I can change out the tubing and hot end on the Enders. That is a big help I know because I have a tendency to break filament in the tubes or get it clogged up or something.
Bambu Printer
Which brings me to the Bambu printer. While it is a cool printer and I think it’s great. We can print things with up to 4 colors at one time and it prints much faster than the Enders. I really love it and I want to get some more of them. But I need to learn how to work on them.
Issue at Hand
So, I was making an attempt to print out our new custom order for the straw topper. I wanted to try my new color filament out, so I did. Well, when it finished printing, I got an error message say that the filament could not be unloaded. It was stuck somewhere in the line.
So I go outside to our workshop, and I get the print and try to remove the filament. It is stuck. Will not move one bit. Great. How do I fix this now.
Steps to Fix Bambu Printer
I go to YouTube, and I type in how to unjam a Bambu Printer and this is the video I watched. I went back to the workshop, and I start trying to fix it. (Hopefully I don’t break it more. My Husband would not be happy.) I was going to bring the AMS down to unclog it, but I couldn’t get the tub out. My Fault. I didn’t take the 2 small screws out to remove the piece that the filament sits in.
Being that there is no room to do much with it on the shelf I just plugged the AMS back into the printer and turned the power back on. What do you know it started to unload the filament that the error message was about. Yes, easy fix this time. I got lucky.
What I Learned
I got a lot that I need to learn still. Luckily this time it fixed itself I won’t be that lucky next time.
