The Beginning: Finding Inspiration
Before I ventured into the web hosting services of WordPress, I was already contemplating starting a blog. I was attempting to determine the initial steps, like choosing a topic for my blog and identifying the key points I wanted to concentrate on. It was during this time that my husband and I underwent a performance audit for his new company, Inspired-3d.com.
The audit revealed that for Inspired-3d.com to become a dependable revenue stream, it is necessary to explore methods to enhance our visibility. I decided to combine my interest in starting a blog with our business goals. And thus, the blog title was born: Inspired-3d.com.

Finding the Right Topics
Figuring out what to write about to promote our business was not as easy as it seemed. I had very limited knowledge about 3D printing, aside from the basic operational aspects. Though starting the printer, initiate the printing process, and remove the prints once they were completed are pretty simple tasks. I also possess some knowledge of printer maintenance, including how to change the filament and adjust the printer bed for optimal printing results.
Although these skills were essential for creating high-quality prints, they were not particularly relevant to my husband’s requirements. So, I decided to focus on learning how to create printable files. The majority of our orders consist of custom prints; some customers supply their own files, while others need us to create the designs from the beginning.
One of the programs we use for file creation is Blender. However, it’s important to note that the choice of software is subjective, and there are various options available, both free and paid. I will delve deeper into Blender and its functionalities in another blog topic, which you can find here.
Acknowledging the stress of launching a new venture, particularly as Inspired-3d.com is only two years into its journey, I intend to share the relaxation and decompression activities I undertake during demanding periods. (Just for Fun) I invite you to follow along on this journey to discover what works for me in starting and maintaining this blog and website.
Thank you for joining me in this exciting endeavor. Stay tuned for more insightful posts on starting and maintaining a blog and website with no prior training or knowledge.
